Our trip to Boulogne is fast approaching and we are getting very excited! I would like to invite you all to a meeting next Tuesday (3rd July) at 3:30pm in the school hall to discuss final arrangements and to give you an opportunity to ask any questions.

NOTICE is given in accordance with Section 43 of the School Standards and Organisation Act (Wales) 2013 and the School Organisation Code that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council having consulted such persons as required, propose to discontinue Cymer Afan Comprehensive School, School Road, Cymmer, Port Talbot SA13 3EL, an English-medium, community, secondary school currently maintained by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (“the Council”).

Dear Parent/Carer,
Thank you for your support with your child. During the final part of this year every Year 11 is expected to attend timetabled lessons unless there is an exam or a targeted revision session. All Year 11 pupils have been given a copy of the examination and revision timetables and you will find a copy below.

Dear Parent/ Carer,
I am writing to inform you that your son/daughter will be sitting National Reading and Numeracy tests later this month; this is a statutory requirement for all pupils in Wales. These assessments will take place in school under examination conditions. Currently, all pupils are preparing for these assessments with sample materials being used in lessons. Assessment dates are in the attached document.
All schools are open as normal on Monday the 5th March 2018.
Following advice from the LA all schools will remain closed tomorrow Friday 2nd March. We will keep you updated over the weekend with regards to Monday.
