Bus1

Blaengwynfi 1^st pick up 5pm (on the square).

Croeserw 2^nd pick up 5:15pm (by the Croeserw hotel).

Bus2

Glyncorrwg 1^st pick up 5pm (on the square).

Cymmer 2^nd pick up 5:15pm (by the pool).

 

Arrive at Aberavon Beach Hotel at 5:45pm.

Leave Aberavon Beach Hotel at 9:30pm.

 

Bus1

Estimated first drop off at 10:15pm in Croeserw (by the Croeserw hotel) then, 10:30pm in Blaengwynfi (on the square).

Bus2

Estimated first drop off at 10:15pm in Cymmer (by the pool) then, 10:30pm in Glyncorrwg (on the square).

 

Pupils who are attending have been allocated a seat on a bus from the village they live in. There are no seats to enable them to swap buses. There will also be pick up points in Heol-y-Glyn, Duffryn and Cynonville.

Letter to parents re end of term events

Open Afternoon, Thursday, 4^th July, 2019 between 3.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

 

The school will be open to past members of staff and the community. There will be a guided tour by a member of staff and you will be able to view old photographs and memorabilia from past times in the school hall.

Letter to Y11 parents re exams

Any past pupils who left Cymer Afan Comprehensive School from Summer 2007 onwards and not had their examination certificates could they please contact the Examinations Officer to make arrangements for them to be collected please. Schools are only obliged to keep examination certificates for 1 year once they have been issued, therefore, when we close in July any unwanted certificates will have to be destroyed. If they are not collected the cost to replace each certificate from the relevant examination board is approximately £45.00.

 

Neath College Reaching Higher Team are hosting revision sessions in Science, Maths and History during the Easter holidays. The structure of each day is shown below. If your child is interested in participating, please complete the table below.

 

Proposed structure of the day

9:00 – Pick up in Croeserw (Bus stop by Primary school).

9:10 – Pick up in Abergwynfi (Bus stop by Primary school).

9:20 – Pick up in Glyncorrwg (Outside entrance to Primary school).

9:30 – Pick up in Cymer (By swimming pool).

10:00 –Revision Session 1 (45 mins).

10:45 – 15 minute Break.

11:00– Revision Session 2 (45 mins).

11:45 – 15 minute Break.

12:00 – Revision Session 3 (45 mins).

12:45 – 1:15 – Lunch provided by college in the refectory.

1:15 – Leave Neath College.

1:40 – Drop off Cymmer.

1:50 – Drop off Glyncorrwg.

2:00 – Drop off Abergwwnfi.

2:10 – Drop off Croeserw.
